ALLCOT JOINS THE CARBON PRICING LEADERSHIP COALITION

ALLCOT Joins the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition

ALLCOT has joined the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC), which brings together leaders from across governments, the private sector and civil society to share experience working with carbon pricing and to expand the evidence base for the most effective carbon pricing systems and policies.

“We affirm that since our founding in 2009 we have been vigorously and constructively engaged with governments, business and civil society organizations to encourage and support the development of carbon pricing policies and we are committed to these objectives” says Alexis L.Leroy, CEO of ALLCOT.

Leroy also highlights that ALLCOT is commit to the CPLC goals: strengthening carbon pricing policies to redirect investment commensurate with the scale of the Climate Challenge; bringing forward and strengthening the implementation of existing carbon pricing policies to better manage investment risks and opportunities; and enhancing cooperation to share information, expertise and lessons learned on developing and implementing carbon pricing through various "readiness" platforms.

“We are delighted to be part of CPLC”, says Alexis L. Leroy, CEO of ALLCOT. “We are strong advocates of market based mechanisms and carbon pricing overall. We believe that the deployment and global implementation of adequate carbon prices is one of the key tools in supporting the global transition towards a low carbon economy”.
