Good public engagement is essential for making progress against climate change, yet it is challenging in our polarised political environment. George Marshall is the founder of Oxford based Climate Outreach and is a leading European specialist in climate change communications. He will outline the latest research and evidence base on how to communicate with people of different if identities, especially those who are often ignored, and how to build a narrative based on common values and shared purpose. He is the author of a widely acclaimed book: Don't Even Think About It: Why our Brains are Wired to Ignore Climate Change.
